As e-business exerts its influence worldwide, creating new models and new approaches to traditional business processes, the GBPA includes in its development strategy initiatives to seed e-business opportunities in Grand Bahama. Just over 700 acres of property contiguous to Freeport's Seaport and the Grand Bahama International Airport have been reserved for the creation of the Grand Bahama International Business Centre. Through the International Business Centre, strategically located between harbour and airport, the GBPA looks forward to realizing its vision to create a state-of-the-art facility providing teleport services, data centres and high-speed telecommunications networks, with associated warehousing, fulfillment and shipping services.
