Lady Henrietta St. George
Lady Henrietta St. George was born in London, England,
in 1949 to
the Duke & Duchess of Grafton, England. She was
educated at day and boarding schools, trained as a
kindergarten teacher, taught in various schools, and
managed a Play Group in a London Children's Hospital.
Commenced training as a Children's Nurse and has
travelled extensively in the Far East and worked for a
leading Children's Charity, 'Save The Children Fund'.
In December 1979, Lady Henrietta married Edward G. P.
St. George and took up residence on Freeport, Grand
Bahama Island. Mr. Edward G. P. St. George, former
Chairman of The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited,
died on 20th December 2004. He was relentless in his
commitment to Freeport and in his drive to promote
improvements to the quality of life for all who
consider Grand Bahama their home. He was the force
behind numerous investments that will long benefit
Grand Bahama and The Bahamas. As quoted by Lady
Henrietta upon the death of her husband, "His love for
The Bahamas, and especially Grand Bahamians, was the
driving force in his life. In death, I shall honour his
commitment." Lady Henrietta has since assumed the role
of Co-Chairman of The Grand Bahama Port Authority,
Limited.
Lady Henrietta is involved in numerous social programmes, on Grand Bahama Island.
